We’ve known Fluffy Butt Arts for a while now, and she never disappoints us. When she was given the task of recreating Windwaker Link for the 2017 GAAM Cosplay shoot, she delivered hard! Not only did she show up in cosplay…but the painting to herself to recreate the look of the game…and the props (which you’ll see at GAAM), were simply outstanding!
You’ll see a bunch of other posts about Brit, mostly because she refuses to spend a moment NOT creating, and is involved now in the Invitational Charity Art Auction, she’s a GAAM Fabricator, and she’ll probably get involved in something else before the show starts up on Aug 12.
Lastly, here’s what Brit had to say about GAAM. It’s very sincere.
“GAAM is good
GAAM is great
Let us thank him for this food
Amen indeed, Brit. Amen indeed.
Say hello to what may quite possibly the greatest Fashion X Cosplay shoot since the beginning of time! Or at least since the last one we did! jk
The talent in this shoot was amazing. We can not thank the cosplays and Klara Cu enough for the wonderful job they did.
Thank you Miki, Joyce, Jayson, Keia, Alex, Badr, Kamryn, Chris, RJ, Jae, Daniel, John, Sean, Mark, and everybody else who helped make this our most spectacular shoot ever!
We can’t wait to put up the finished pieces up in The Museum and Gardens on July 12th! XD’
Cosplaying since 2004 (that’s 10 years!), Joyce “Lystrade” Kay has been an anime and gaming fan since she was just a few years old. While her siblings ventured off into the world of the gaming industry (her brother playing for Curse Gaming’s League of Legends team, and her sister working with Ubisoft’s Frag Dolls), she turned her focus to crafting, learning to create and transform herself into her favorite characters.
When she’s not slaving away over a sewing machine, styling gravity defying wigs, or learning new make-up techniques, you can find her at conventions (judging costume contets, MC-ing, or just having fun in costume!), promotional modeling, playing with her corgi Curie, or attempting to jungle in League of Legends.
Active in all things geeky for as long as he can remember, Jayson, or better known as Panzer has been an active participant in the hobby of cosplay since 2006. While best known for his Loki cosplay that garnered him international attention and secured him a role in a Marvel fanfilm, Jayson has since completed numerous costumes from a variety of genres and made appearances at numerous conventions both local as well as out of state.
Of course when he isn’t off at a convention cosplaying or hanging with his close friends, he can be found reading a multitude of comics or giving the enemies of humanity what for in the latest Halo installment on his xbox.
Without Three Muses Clothing, GAAM wouldn’t be where it is today. But that’s a looooong story for another time. Right now we’re gonna talk about them because they’re an awesome supporter of the GAAM Show, and they’ll be doing some super cool giveaways at the show! Why? Just because they looooove cosplayers and gamers!
What? You don’t know who Three Muses Inspired Clothing is? Well they’re a unique costume and corset boutique that carries a variety of ready-to-wear costumes, corsets, pin-up wear and accessories. We can custom fit your purchases on-site, do corset fittings and help you style your outfit from wig to shoes.
So if you’re looking for some awesome costumes or corsets, hit them up at www.ThreeMusesClothing.com. Candy and Brema will take good care of you! 😀
That’s right! the GO (GAAM Original) Fashion X Cosplay exhibit will not only be auctioned off this time, but so will the fashion within it (provided by 80stees.com), but the profits will also go to benefitting First Coast No More Homeless Pets! Cowabunga!
We’ve been taking a lot of feedback and checking out a lot of cosplay contests…and we think we finally have it down as to what a GAAM Cosplay Contest should be! It’s now a GAAM Original, it’s a GO.
This means you can go Co-op (couple’s cosplay anyone?) or single player, and you get to choose your theme song! Whaaaat! Yup!:) Fill out the form below, and we can’t to see what you guys come up with!
